Our coffee roaster uses the best technology to turn fresh green coffee beans from all over the world into our award-winning coffees.

We then immediately freeze the beans to lock in their superior flavor.

There is extensive and increasing evidence in the coffee industry that the use of air-fluidized bed roasting gives better tasting coffee beans with higher soluble concentrations for beverages as well as for soluble coffee products.

This style of roaster, as opposed to the typical cylinder roaster, uses relatively low inlet air temperature so that it can produce dark roasts up to 475F without scorching or "tipping" the beans. This cannot be done with the cylinder roaster. In the air-fluidized roasters the bean temperature for all the beans is accurately measured and controlled with internal temperature sensors and automated external controls which gives unparalleled accuracy and reproducibility. Therefore we have an absolute measure of the degree of roast, so whether you enjoy the lighter roasts or the darker you will experience benefits in the flavor.

This is a profound control system. Combined with the highest quality estate varietal green coffee beans from all over the world, Alaska Coffee Roasting Company is able to provide a roasted coffee unequalled anywhere. We then protect this premium quality by immediately freezing the roasted beans in airtight containers. This means that the consumer will get a consistently superior product.

There is a very narrow range of temperature which maximizes flavor and aroma.

It is critically important to freeze the beans after roasting, to preserve the roaster-fresh flavor.
